ABOUT US

Through our programs, we share our mission of understanding the Trnovo Forest and preserving its ecosystems.

PURE NATURE

Wildlife Slovenia offers a unique experience in the deep natural forests of the Trnovo Plateau. Our approach is based on observing flora and fauna while discovering the importance of natural processes.
As forest visitors, we move through nature with respect,
minimizing our impact and helping preserve these
ecosystems for future generations.

LOCATION

The Trnovo Plateau is located in western Slovenia and forms part of
the Municipality of Nova Gorica. Surrounded by hills on most sides, its southern edge drops sharply into the valley, offering stunning panoramic views over Vipava Valley.
This unique position creates a mosaic of forests, meadows, and karst features,
providing visitors a rich and diverse natural environment to explore.

Our journeys begin in surrounding cities from where we take you deep into the

hidden corners of untouched nature.

Gaja
Master of Biology & Field specialist

I have been passionate about nature for as long as I can remember!

I hold a master’s degree in ecology and have actively participated in environmental associations my whole life. I’ve also gained international experience through volunteer work and environmental initiatives in Ireland, Madeira, Madagascar, and Borneo. Exploring the world has broadened my understanding of ecosystems, given me insight into responsible and harmful tourism practices, and taught me a respectful approach to nature that I am eager to share with others.
I bring enthusiasm, positive energy, and a true passion for connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds.
